“I am a Covid cautious postpartum doula and Certified Lactation Counselor serving clients virtually across the United States, and in person in the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. I offer virtual parenting support groups, specifically for Covid cautious families who need and want extra support parenting while still being very isolated. My virtual postpartum doula services assist parents with planning their postpartum recovery while taking into consideration their comfort level with having visitors inside their homes. I support clients with evidence-based information about babywearing, newborn care, breastfeeding and chestfeeding and postpartum recovery, as I encourage them to prioritize their healing and discover their parenting style during the early days and weeks postpartum. I teach virtual prenatal breastfeeding and chestfeeding classes and provide virtual lactation consultations to evaluate and assist with breastfeeding and chestfeeding after the baby has arrived.”
She adds, for people in the Chapel Hill area who want her in-person services (and this information is available on her website as well), “Everyone in my household is fully vaccinated for Covid including the first bivalent booster and we all receive yearly flu shots. We also continue to mask when indoors in public. My family members test immediately if anyone presents with any cold symptoms. I will inform you if anyone in my family has any cold symptoms or if I have a known exposure to anyone who has been sick. I will wear a mask for the duration of my time in your home. I expect the same transparency regarding sickness for anyone who has been in your home and I ask that you mask when we are in the same room together (except when I am assisting with overnight breastfeeding or chestfeeding support). I am absolutely willing to take further precautions upon request.”
