Wellness Dental Group has been recommended as a Covid-safe dentist in La Jolla and Poway, California. Here’s why Wellness Dental Group has been recommended.
They have 7am appointments where you can be the first patient of the day and usually no other patients are there. Patients are required to be masked and temperature is checked. Plexiglass is separating the receptionist. They allow you to use a mouth rinse before starting. All individual rooms with a giant IQ AIR HEPA filter in it and the clean air exhaust is aimed at the patient. The owner (Dr. Robert Kim) requires all the hygienists and dentists to be masked in n95. He was also wearing a surgical mask and face shield on top. (Another dentist we saw only wore n95.) They also see children.
Note that on March 28, 2023, the person who originally submitted Wellness Dental Group sent us this update:
“Hi, I’ve got an update on my Wellness Dental Group listing: Masking for patients will be optional as of 4/3/23 but dentists and hygenists will continue to wear n95.”
That said, they also added this:
The owner has blocked off Wednesday mornings at the Pomerado location for COVID cautious patients only! Masking for everyone will be required that morning and they will not book overlapping appointments. Use reason code ZC19 to book online or call them.
