My practice is 45 min outside of Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA in the Columbia River Gorge, in Skamania County, Washington

My practice was born out of necessity to stay safe, and to keep my clients safe. Using best practices and coordination with my doctor, I ventilate my treatment room before every massage and run 2 medical grade air purifiers at all times. I require medical gade masks and provide free Bluna Facefit kf-94’s to my clients, which are a massage client favorite because they are so protective and breathable. I also lightly humidify the air, run an oscillating heater/fan to keep the air flowing so it doesn’t hover over the massage table, and monitor CO2. And I do everything else in terms of sanitation, etc, that one would expect.

I wear an Envo mask (elastomeric) with a KF-94 over top. I’m vaccinated and have had 3 booster shots, including the bivalent booster. I check with clients for symptoms before every session and provide safer Covid support, validation, and coaching.

I’m an advanced treatment specialist with over 20 years experience, and my practice is client centered, trauma informed, and collaborative. I have an academic background in cell biology with graduate work in immunology. When the pandemic started I realized quickly that it was primarily spread via airborne transmission, despite what we were being told, and I knew cloth masks weren’t going to be sufficient. I sourced the best masks I could find that would not add stress to the US shortage of N95s at that time, and I discovered KF-94 masks. I quickly ordered direct from Korea before reputable resellers were operating in the US and alerted my friends, family, and community and was hand-delivering masks in the summer of 2020 to help people stay safe. My concern back then was that Covid deniers were shirking the mandates and placing others at risk, so I wanted to help people to protect themselves.

I also saw in the earliest research, just a few weeks after we started lockdown in the US, the immune suppressive nature of this virus. I raised the alert and predicted the unusual infections we’ve seen for well over a year now, and the peer-reviewed science has come a long way since then and we now know that SARS-CoV-2 is eerily similar to HIV in terms of its suppression of the immune system, according to career HIV researchers.
 

I am also predicting that it’s like polio, and that in addition to long Covid a “Post Covid Syndrome” is going to be discovered some years into the future and that it will have widespread impact on human health. So I’m doing all I can to keep myself, family, and clients as safe as possible because I’ve seen it coming from the start and I know that you never play with immune suppressive viruses. They never make your immune system stronger. They attack and weaken it. Health and youth won’t protect you from them, and once the true health impact of Covid infections is known, it will be an extended period of time before we have treatments. And in the case of my predicted postCovid Syndrome, there may never be effective treatments or cures, as with PPS.

Protective masks are required for your massage. A protective mask has at least 2 finely woven layers and is well fitting, worn snug to face covering nose and mouth, even when face down for your massage. I have a lot of tips and tricks to make the experience more comfortable for you, and can provide you with either a kf-94 (Korean medical mask) or a high quality surgical mask.

Additionally, I will request proof of vaccination. If you haven’t completed your Covid vaccinations or don’t have proof, I can accommodate you by providing you with a rapid Covid test curbside, 15 minutes before your session start time, and will add the cost of your test to your service.

I purify and ventilate the air in my studio and clean surfaces between every client.
