In addition to all the basic precautions (requires an appointment, requires N95 masks, all employees wear masks, up-to-date ventilation and HEPA air purifiers, and monitors the CO2 levels), they will wear PAPR hoods on request. Nose masks are available if you like (free). CPC mouthwash pre and post treatment is provided. Alarm system at entry door that will alert if someone is trying to enter without a mask. Private treatments rooms with medical grade HEPA in each room. Rooms are left vacant for a minimum of 30 minutes between each patient for full clearance. De-fogger machine post-treatment for yourself (if you choose). Dr. Cajulis is herself immunocompromised and completely devoted to protecting herself and her patients.”

Had my first visit with Dr Cajulis’s team yesterday. I felt about as safe as I could imagine unmasking indoors. There are signs on the suite door and in the waiting room that remind people not to enter without a mask. they no longer wear PAPR hoods or take temperatures, but everyone in the office was wearing a high-quality N95 mask. There are air purifiers in all the treatment rooms, and the rooms have doors that close. They take bitewing X-rays in the treatment room so it’s just you and the well-masked hygienist. (They did take me out into a hallway nook to take the 360 x-rays, but I didn’t encounter any other patients during this time. The hygienist was kind and gentle, and Dr Cajulis has a great manner — she took the time to explain to me some dental anatomy that no provider has ever discussed with me; definitely got the sense that she loves learning and sharing her knowledge. She also was very polite and kind when talking with her staff, and introduced them to me by name — and everyone who worked there was kind and helpful.
Amazing experience and felt so safe. Air purifiers running in every room and everyone on staff was wearing N95s. Very understanding, and kind crew! Highly recommend especially if you’re immune-compromised.
Because I am immune compromised, and super scared to go to the dentist, I found Dr. Cajulis on a covid meet up message board. I finally went in after a few years of neglecting my teeth. Dr. Cajulis and staff is wonderful!! She and the hygienist both wore PAPR Hoods and the staff wore 3M Auras. I cannot believe I found this dental office. HIGHLY recommend dental practice.
