Kai Thigpen says “I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy sessions in private practice using internal family systems (IFS), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and relational therapy for people in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While the virtual nature of appointments prevents my Covid practices from directly impacting clients’ risk of contracting Covid, I maintain precautions such as:

-masking with a well-fitted KN-99, KF-94, or KN-95 mask when in public indoor spaces, in larger groups, or with people outside of my immediate pod

-staying up-to-date on Covid booster vaccines

-testing with Altruan Pluslife hometests if exposed to Covid, if noticing symptoms of Covid, prior to larger gatherings, and at other times as applicable

-limiting indoor activities with groups of people and with people outside of my immediate pod when Covid levels or wastewater levels are reported to be high

I maintain awareness of Covid as an existing and evolving reality, not as a pandemic that is in any way “over.” I am mindful of some ways that Covid denial in our larger culture can impact the clients I work with as well as the ways in which long Covid can affect people and interplay with our larger systems.”
