Dr. Annisa Pirasteh and Dr. Adam Albrite, and their Act2Change Therapy Center, have been recommended as a Covid-safe provider of mental health therapy services in Georgia and South Carolina. A Covid-safe therapist is defined as one who offers Covid-safe services and who is known to be supportive of their clients taking Covid seriously and taking whatever precautions work for them to avoid Covid.
We have to say that Drs. Pirasteh and Albrite are some of the very few therapists we have found who actually talk about Covid at all on their website (very disappointing in general, but props to Act2Change for standing out in that way)! Here’s what they say about Covid:
“As a social justice driven practice, we are deeply invested in the betterment of our community. We have been closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our practice is taking actionable steps to help reduce the spread of the virus. It is for this reason that our therapists have collectively made the choice to only provide Telehealth services for the foreseeable future. Telehealth allows our therapists to continue meeting with clients in the safest way possible, while also ensuring that no one’s health is compromised by making a trip to our office. We believe that is our duty to reduce harm to our clients by utilizing the safest alternatives available. Given our extensive training in technology-assisted therapies, we are confident that our clients will have a pleasant experience that does not feel like a lesser alternative to in-office sessions.”
Covid Safe Providers is free to everyone, and maintained as a volunteer effort. We don't hide our info behind a paywall, use affiliate links, or subject you to annoying videos or ads. But it does cost us money to keep the site going. So if we have provided value to you today, won't you please let us know by putting a little something in our tip jar and including a little note? ❤️
